About the Speakers
Joseph Longo
Joseph Longo is the Chief Operations Officer at Velosio, responsible for a multi-disciplinary professional services organization with operations throughout the United States, Europe and India. Joe is a 30+ year serial entrepreneur who began his career in public accounting as an auditor before founding a series of increasing larger consulting organizations. Prior to the formation of Velosio, Joe served as Chief Operating Officer of SBS Group where he spearheaded the launch of Microsoft’s Worldwide Master VAR program and drove product development and channel support for multiple Microsoft ERP solutions under direct contract by Microsoft. Joe is an active member of Vistage International and serves on the BOD for Blanchard Valley Health System. A graduate of Villanova University, he holds a B.S. in Accounting and Computer Science.
James Thomas
James Thomas is an entrepreneur, technologist and financial systems expert with over 20 years’ experience helping professional services companies across the globe to better leverage technology and improve business performance. As a solutions architect for Velosio, James specializes in financial and customer engagement systems for services and project-driven companies and is a well-known speaker and business process evangelist. He is a graduate of the London School of Accountancy and a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants.
Andy Advincula
Andres (Andy) Advincula is Chief Financial Officer of Berkowitz Pollack Brant Advisors (BPB), one of the largest public accounting firms in South Florida and one of the top 100 firms in the United States. Andy oversees all financial aspects of the firm that operates with nearly 300 accountants, tax specialists and consultants, now supported by their recent deployment of Microsoft Dynamics 365. Prior to BPB, he was the Controller for New Fortress Energy, a $100 million dollar service company where he lead the implementations of several major business applications including ERP and AIS and implemented and transferred all accounting functions from the NY office to company headquarters in Miami. Prior to New Fortress, Andy held executive finance positions in private and public accounting organizations focusing on auditing, budgeting, cost accounting and reporting. Andy is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Masters in Accounting from Florida International University.
