Specific Word Use

  • Instead of “optimize,” write out what you mean, when possible.
  • Instead of “customer,” use “client.”
  • Instead of “upgrade,” use “update.”
  • Use ‘you’ or ‘your’ when you’re speaking to the customer.
  • When writing on behalf of the company, use the first-person plural “we.”
  • When writing in your personal capacity, use the first-person “I.”
