Price Changes on the Way for Dynamics NAV 2013 & GP 2013

This is the 2 month warning for all Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Dynamics GP customers currently on or expecting to upgrade to their respective 2013 versions: on July 1st, user prices will increase for Module Based Licensing (MBL) and Business Ready Licensing models. This will affect the MBL Professional, MBL User Based Pricing, and BRL Business Essentials editions.

The price increase will not impact the Protected List Price of users licensed by existing customers prior to July 1st, which means that if you expect to add any users over the next 6-12 months, those licensing should be purchased before the July 1st deadline. This is especially crucial for NAV & GP users with a large number of users, as Microsoft plans to eliminate their price tier structure. This could increase licensing costs as much as 35%. Licenses will come at a cost of $2,600.00/additional user, regardless of the number of users.

The goal is to make license pricing more in line with the recent Perpetual Licensing structure that Microsoft developed for Dynamics NAV 2013 and GP 2013. The goal is to simplify purchasing an ERP system by providing four core components for businesses, beginning with financial insights and distribution management and then extending into all functional areas. Through Perpetual Licensing, organizations can choose from the Starter Pack, Extended Pack, Full User, or Limited User component. Until June 24th, 2014 Microsoft is offering the Extended Pack for both NAV 2013 & GP 2013 at a 50% license discount; this is the same price of the Starter Pack at $5,000/user.
