Oakwood Homes, residential homebuilding client of SBS Group Denver, is receiving a $100 million investment from North Carolina firm MREC to expand into secondary markets outside of Colorado including Omaha and other regions in the Midwest. The $100 Million investment is the largest in the company’s history and will provide them with a competitive edge in the homebuilding marketplace. The partnership between the company and firm will allow Oakwood Homes to take advantage of market demand and expansion opportunities with greater flexibility than others in the industry.
There have been talks of partnership between the two companies since last June, shortly after the companies invested in the north side of Banning Lewis Ranch in Colorado Springs. In addition to Banning Lewis Ranch, Oakwood Homes is a developer of other master-planned communities including Green Valley Ranch, Thompson River Ranch, Belle Creek, Cumberland Green and Stillwater.
Oakwood Homes, one of Colorado’s largest private home building companies, uses Microsoft Dynamics SL and Kova Solutions as their homebuilding software solution. Microsoft Dynamics SL helps project-oriented companies like theirs obtain reports and business analyses, while increasing efficiency, accuracy and customer satisfaction. Kova Solutions is a homebuilding financial and operational management software system that integrates directly with Dynamics SL and all the processes a homebuilder uses into one end-to-end software solution.
The Denver-based homebuilding company’s holdings include 7,100 home sites across 9 communities, with 200 homes currently under construction. They expect to sell an additional 600 homes this year.
