Microsoft is Going “All-In” with Dynamics

Maybe it is because my colleague is winging his way to Vegas at the moment, or perhaps it is because my weekly poker game is resuming tonight after taking the summer off, but I’ve been reminded about the big bets that Microsoft has made recently, on themselves.

Although Microsoft Dynamics business solutions are well respected and recognized in the industry to provide powerful productivity tools to small and mid-sized businesses, they’ve never been seen as strong players in the enterprise software market. However, the failure of large organizations to see Dynamics ERP and CRM as viable solutions for their companies can be a costly one.  Many enterprise organizations are stuck in, what Microsoft refers to as, the “electronic concrete” of legacy systems – struggling with complexity, inflexibility and low end-user adoption.

In an effort to demonstrate that Dynamics solutions can liberate enterprise organizations from their electronic concrete, as well as to save on costs and improve their own business processes, Microsoft has gone “all in” on their own products and won big.

By implementing Microsoft Dynamics AX as part of their ERP solution structure, Microsoft has automated processes, improved the manageability of people, processes, and data, and been able to innovate more rapidly. Learn more about how Microsoft is benefiting from using Microsoft Dynamics AX.

By moving off of their Oracle Siebel CRM system and onto Dynamics CRM, Microsoft has attained a 90% user adoption rate amongst their over 40,000 sales, marketing, and service professionals in over 100 countries in the first 30 days! Not only is CRM user satisfaction at at an all-time high, but Microsoft has also saved $10 million a year in reduced operations and support costs and has realized more than $80 million in sales productivity gains.

While Microsoft made big bets by changing both their front and back office business management solutions, they were not taking a gamble.  They knew that their Dynamics ERP and CRM solutions could meet the enterprise level business and IT needs they have and the flexibility to scale to continue to meet their needs well into the future.
