DUBLIN, OHIO – October 19, 2009 Over two hundred professionals from companies in and around Ohio gathered at The Conference Center at NorthPointe in Lewis Center, Ohio on October 13, 2009 for Aspire 2009, Socius’ annual conference.
This year’s event was centered on the theme, “Thinking Outside of the Box for Outstanding Results”, and featured a keynote address by business innovation expert, Bonnie Robertson. Thirty-five breakout sessions dedicated to equipping attendees with the tools to maximize success professionally and personally continued this theme. Presented by Socius consultants and leaders, software partners, and leadership training experts, the sessions covered a range of topics from software-specific insights to applications to hone leadership skills.
The event also featured the presentation of the Aspire Awards, recognizing the distinguished achievements of five of Socius’ client organizations for enhancing their growth and profitability through effective use of their Microsoft or Sage business solutions. The Aspire Award winners are:
Sarnova HC LLC, a leading emergency medical products distributor based in Dublin, Ohio, received The Innovative Visionary Award for consistently seeking to use technology in new and different ways to further their vision, support their growth, and accomplish long-term goals. Sarnova has consistently added emerging technology tools to their existing Microsoft Dynamics GP software solution to better analyze and leverage their key business data to support their consistent growth. Even while going through a major business acquisition, Sarnova has taken on new projects to enhance their business insight and analysis.
Neundorfer, Inc., a Clean Tech company from Willoughby, Ohio, received The Innovative Insight Award for using analytical applications to discover insights into the financial performance of their organization, leading to enhanced profitability, streamlined operations, and better management. Neundorfer has leveraged Microsoft Dynamics GP and Microsoft Dynamics CRM reporting capabilities as well as developed their own reports to stream their organization’s financial data live onto a screen in their office. Over the last year, they have realized $30,000 in savings from generating one report.
PDI Ground Support Systems is a Cleveland, Ohio manufacturer that received The Innovation Through Teamwork Award in recognition of their collaborative effort with Socius to assess their business processes and achieve a swift and successful transition from Sage MAS 90 ERP to Sage MAS 500 ERP software to support their continued growth.
Two Cincinnati area businesses were awarded The Excellence in Innovation Award in recognition of their innovative use of technology in their business management solutions that delivers measurable benefits to their organization. This award is based on creativity, vision, and the overall results and benefits of their implementation.
Meridian BioScience is a manufacturer and distributor of diagnostic kits, purified reagents, and related products. Starting in 2007, Socius worked with Meridian to understand their business processes and streamlined their data flow utilizing Sage SalesLogix and a number of integrating products which has enabled their entire sales force – field sales and inside sales, as well as Marketing and management – to see their customer data in one central system. Even before the concept of XRM was a buzz word, Meridian was utilizing their SalesLogix to manage data elements other than typical CRM.
Divisions Inc. is a Newport, Kentucky based provider of maintenance to retail and property management companies. Over the last two years, Socius has assisted Divisions in implementing Microsoft Dynamics CRM and integrating it with their Microsoft Dynamics GP ERP software. Divisions immediately began using CRM as an XRM platform – allowing users to streamline the data entry of vouchers and sales contracts. In addition, Divisions implemented a reporting package that automatically runs reports each month, dramatically decreasing the time spent manually producing their reports.
